    AbleTo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in the Machine Learning space. You will work on building our world class ML platform to address variety of problems in the behavioral health space. You will work with a team to come up with new and interesting hypotheses, test them, and scale them up to huge data sets with hundreds of billions of data points. You will design and build analytic and conversational APIs that drive our clinical workflow applications with data-driven insights. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences behavioral healthcare.


    • Design machine learning platforms and pipelines for training and running machine learning models on distributed systems.
    • Build high-scale Google Cloud container infrastructure to apply machine learning methods to massive data sets in production environments.
    • Collaborate with a cross functional agile team of software engineers, data engineers, ML experts, and others to build new product features.
    • Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality.
    • Determine the feasibility of projects through quick prototyping with respect to performance, quality, time and cost using Agile methodologies.
    • Work closely with management, research teams, product owners, and fellow team members to develop specifications with clear deliverables to ensure timely completion.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with data scientists and business intelligence teams productionizing machine learning algorithms.
    • Manage large quantities and varieties of information as well as troubleshoot noisy, complex data.


    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent). Advanced degree preferred.
    • 5+ years experience in IT software development operations.
    • Strong experience manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected, multi-source datasets including both structured and unstructured data.
    • Strong SQL & NOSQL programming experience working with a variety of “big-data” technologies (Spark, Scikit-Learn, PyBrain, Tensorflow), languages (Python, Java, R) and data warehousing & analysis architectures.
    • Strong experience using massively multi-parallel platforms-as-a-service such as Google Big Query, Big Table, AWS RedShift and/or Hadoop.
    • Strong experience with data engineering tasks (e.g. deploying ML models, building data pipelines) to facilitate the transitions of data science and business intelligence innovations into production.
    • Strong experience using modern data pipeline technologies (Luigi, Airflow, Google DataFlow).
    • Solid understanding of clustered ‘container’ technologies (e.g. Docker and/or Kubernetes).


    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
    • Experience collaborating on code with other developers using git - this is a highly diverse team of subject matter experts that interacts regularly, and collaboration is at our core.
    • Experience with confidential healthcare data, including familiarity with HIPAA & PHI a plus.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and timeliness in decision making.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
