Overview

The Clinical Supervisor of Risk and Assessment with focus on ensuring adherence to AbleTo’s eligibility and exclusionary criteria. The Clinical Supervisor of Risk and Assessment will also serve as a support to the AbleTo Engagement Center and provide hands on consultation to assess participant fit and risk factors and to provide crisis intervention when necessary. The ideal candidate will have crisis intervention experience, experience providing clinical supervision during the intake process, and should live in Connecticut, New York or New Jersey and commute to the NYC headquarters.

 

Responsibilities

The Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete clinical review of Initial Consultations by AbleTo Therapists (LCSW’s) and ensure that eligibility and exclusionary criteria are followed, dispositions reflect best practices, care coordination is completed in a thorough and clinically appropriate manner, documentation is thorough and that the program chosen targets the participant’s chief complaint.
  • Provide administrative and clinical oversight to ensure that all Initial Consultations requiring review are in compliance with AbleTo quality standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with LCSW’s, provide concrete feedback about their assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Liaise with AbleTo Sr. Clinical team to provide feedback about assessment processes as well as feedback about LCSW performance concerns
  • Conduct risk assessments, perform crisis intervention and follow up as necessary following an AbleTo Engagement Center (non-clinical staff) clinical escalation
  • Complete necessary documentation, track volume, workflows and interventions
  • Attend weekly supervision with the Sr. Clinical Supervisor, as well as the customary weekly, monthly and quarterly Sr. Clinical Team Meetings
  • Identify quality improvement opportunities and develop interventions to improve intake and crisis intervention services based on data collection and metrics review
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training to the Engagement Center (non-clinical) staff
  • Provide care coordination support to members with complex needs identified by the AbleTo Engagement Center staff
  • Work closely with the Sr. Clinical team to implement the Company’s overall care coordination efforts

Quality Management Responsibilities:

 

  • 50% of the Clinical Supervisor of Risk and Assessment position is spent on oversight of participant safety and participant satisfaction.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • Master of Social Work (LCSW required)
  • Minimum of five years of clinical practice including conducting mental health assessments with adults, and performing crisis assessment and intervention and care coordination
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to provide supervision related to crisis and assessment to LCSW’s within a national tele behavioral health network
  • Knowledge of health information related to adult health and mental health, including

co-occurring conditions

  • Experience in care coordination with managed care clinical teams a plus; ability to act as a liaison to managed care clinical teams  
  • Ability to collaborate interdepartmentally
  • This position requires a minimum of 3 days on site in the corporate office based in New York City [alternate days are at home/remote].
