The Human Resources Senior Manager /Director guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the company. This includes the day-to-day HR function of the HR department as well serving as a true business partner to the leadership team. A key function of this role is the assessment and anticipation of HR-related needs, as well as partnering with the organization to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.


  • Manage the HR function including two direct reports performing payroll, benefits, leave administration and recruitment functions
  • Assure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and assuring adherence to requirements by advising management on needed actions
  • Develop and foster a “Performance Management culture.”
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations where necessary
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning
  • Identify training needs for departments and individual coaching needs
  • Assists in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and communication of all employee-related programs and activities.
  • Maintains and enhances the employee handbook and other new hire materials
  • Administer annual merit increase program
  • Assure compliance with the FLSA as well as State and Local regulations by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions and testing for exemption status
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements for all employees
  • Collaborate with VP Compliance on research, design, and implementation of compliance policies and processes



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in HR, Management or a related field
  • PHR/SHRM-CP a plus
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR Management experience
  • Human Resources Acumen in the following areas:
    • Wage and Hour Administration (FLSA)
    • Leave administration (FMLA)
    • Employee Handbook creation and maintenance (multi State)
    • Performance Management
    • Employee Relations
    • Recruitment and on-boarding
    • HR Government Contracting Compliance (OFCCP)
